PLAN THE WORK.
DISCUSS THE PRICE.
A useful estimate identifies the job, time, materials, parts and practical access. The planning figures below are market references with VAT stated, pending confirmation as a Handymen Supreme tariff.
PRICES / PLANNING ESTIMATES
Plan the budget.
Confirm the work.
Indicative market planning prices, not a confirmed Handymen Supreme tariff. Labour figures include VAT for comparison. We confirm your price, VAT treatment, materials and any additional charges before booking.
The examples are allowances for discussing the work, not promised completion times or fixed prices for every property. Parking, congestion charges, materials, replacement fittings and additional carrying are outside the illustrated labour figures. Out-of-hours work and tasks needing two people require a separate estimate.

APPLIANCE WORK
Diagnosis and repair
need a separate estimate.
An appliance fault is not priced from the general handyman hourly rate. The following published market-guide ranges include VAT; parts and repair inclusions must be confirmed for the model and fault. They are not a guaranteed parts-and-labour package.
| Service | Diagnostic planning range | Repair references | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Washing machine repair | £70–£100 | Minor fix: £90–£140; Moderate repair: £120–£220; Major repair: £200–£450 | Model, findings, parts, access and any further visit confirmed individually. |
| Fridge/freezer repair | £70–£100 | Thermostat replacement reference: £90–£150; Door seal replacement reference: £80–£130; Defrost heater repair reference: £120–£180; Evaporator fan replacement reference: £150–£240 | Model, findings, parts, access and any further visit confirmed individually. |
| Oven repair | £70–£100 | Minor cooker/oven component reference: £100–£170; Moderate cooker/oven repair reference: £130–£250; Major cooker/control repair reference: £200–£300+ | Model, findings, parts, access and any further visit confirmed individually. |
YOUR ESTIMATE
What can change the final amount?
| Factor | What we discuss |
|---|---|
| Materials and parts | What is already supplied, what must be purchased and whether the estimate includes it. |
| Property access | Stairs, lift or entry bookings, parking and congestion charges. |
| Job findings | Unsound surfaces, worn components, missing product fittings or a different fault. |
| Additional work | Extra tasks, collection time, return visits or two-person handling. |
| Appointment timing | Available daytime visits and any request outside normal appointment options. |
We agree the work and price arrangements before confirming a booking. If an inspection changes what is required, we discuss the finding and additional work with you. We do not infer free diagnosis, an automatic return visit or a guarantee from a planning table.
